The Reality of Your Eternal Portion by J.C. Ryle

Resurrection and judgment await you. All is not over when the last breath is drawn and your body becomes a lump of cold clay. No: all is not over!

The realities of existence then begin. The shadows will have passed away for ever. The trumpet shall one day sound, and call you forth from your narrow bed; the graves shall be rent asunder, and their tenants shall be summoned forth to meet God; the ears that would not obey the church going bell shall be obliged to obey that summons; the proud wills that would not submit to listen to sermons shall be compelled to listen to the judgment of God. The great white throne shall be set: the books shall be opened. Every man, woman and child, shall be arraigned at that great court appearance. Every one shall be judged according to his works. The sins of every one shall be answered for. And every one shall receive his eternal portion either in heaven or in hell!

Isaiah 53:1-3 Sermon || Bro Andrew Kingsly Raj

Isaiah 53:1‭-‬3
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isaiah 53:1-3

1 Who hath believed our report? ~

It is reported openly and publicly, not whispered in a corner, or confined to the schools, but proclaimed to all and it is so faithful a saying, and so well worthy of all acceptation, that one would think it should be universally received and believed. Yet most people (that live in utter darkness) lay their hands upon their eyes and refuse to seek the Marvelous light. (John 12:38, Rom 10:16)

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: ~
He grew up as a tender plant, silently and insensibly, and without any noise, as the corn, that tender plant, grows up, we know not how. (Mark 4:27). Christ rose as a tender plant, which, one would have thought, might easily be crushed, or might be nipped in one frosty night. The gospel of Christ, in its beginning, was as a grain of mustard-seed, so inconsiderable did it seem. (Matthew 13:31,32.)
It was thought no good thing could come out of it. (John 1:46)

he hath no form nor comeliness and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him ~

It was expected that he should have some uncommon beauty in his face and person, which should charm the eye, attract the heart, and raise the expectations of all that saw him. But there was nothing of this kind in him not that he was in the least deformed or misshapen, but he had no form nor comeliness, nothing extraordinary, which one might have thought to meet with in the countenance of an incarnate deity. Those who saw him could not see that there was any beauty in him that they should desire him, nothing in him more than in another beloved, Song of Song of Solomon 5:9. Joseph loved by his father more than anybody. Moses when he was born was exceedingly fair. (Acts 7:20; Hebrews 11:23) David when he was anointed was of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to, 1 Samuel 16:12. But our Lord Jesus had nothing of that to recommend him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

We never read that he laughed, but often that he wept. Lentulus, in his epistle to the Roman senate concerning Jesus, says, "he was never seen to laugh " and so worn and macerated was he with continual grief that when he was but a little above thirty years of age he was taken to be nearly fifty. (John 8:57.)

"We hid as it were our faces from him, looked another way, and his sufferings were as nothing to us though never sorrow was like unto his sorrow. Nay, we not only behaved as having no concern for him, but as loathing him, and having him in detestation."

Let we be esteem and receive HIM, the Corner Stone for his holiness, whom rejected by men that we might be Saved.

Another Roman Catholic who doesn't know the Gospel

We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Rom 2:12) And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment. (Heb 9:27)

We cannot pay back any of our possessions as penality. The Bible says,"None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption." Psalms 49:7-9

Then How can a man be justified before the Holy God which dwells in the most holy place and have the eyes which cannot see sin?
Let us examine ourself, (Exodus 20)

• Thou shalt not kill.  (Ex 20:13)

Mat 5:21,22
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca ("You fool!"), shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

• “You shall not commit adultery. (Exo 20:14)

Mat 5:28  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

• Thou shalt not steal. (Exo 20:15)

Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

As your debt is like a mountain above your whole life, you are worthy to be cast into the Lake of fire forever.

Is there a way to escape the judgment.
Yes, Jesus Crist is the way to escape Hell and enter Heaven.

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God sent His only begotten Son to be bruised for our sins (iniquities). Jesus Christ by died on the Cross by shedding all His blood to pay all your depts in full to redeam you. He was buried. But He arose from the dead as He already said and proved His diety. (1 Cor 15:1-4, 1 Cor 7:23, Mat 26:61)

Then, How can we be saved?

Act 16:30,31
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

The Bible promises, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" (Rom 8:1)

Rom 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Ed Lueck: Would you want to slip back in time 40 or 50 years?

IF YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SLIP BACK IN TIME 40 OR 50 YEARS WOULD IT BE TO YOU A BENEFIT?

I ask this because I clearly remember my wild 20s, before I came to know Jesus Christ as my Friend, LORD, and Saviour!
Before I really knew my Jesus, I did a lot of crazy things.  I totalled three automobiles, never being injured.  I had many girlfriends, owned my own house, and had a teaching job.

But something was missing in my life!  I didn't know the LORD who created me yet was still looking out for me because He KNEW that one day I would receive Him as my Friend and Saviour.  In all my last 25 years of trouble, I've never had a better Friend!

Now I am much older and wiser as I depend upon the Lord Jesus for my life's direction.

So...would I want to go back to my former days and have another shot at them?

NOPE!

With all of my many serious health issues, AND God getting me through EACH one EACH day, I'm truly amazed that I'm still alive!  So are my Christian friends, who lift me up in prayer every day!  I'm so thankful for them!

I know that one reason why God keeps me going is to write these articles.  I also, as Deacon of our church, try to be an encouragement to those who need it.  So many are discouraged and confused today!  It IS a very crazy time to be alive!

Now my question to you is...if you could go back in time, would it make any difference in your relationship with God?

ONE THING I KNOW, without Jesus Christ as your Friend and Saviour, your life is STILL empty and pointless.

Though my ending days are filled with sickness and trouble, my God has never left me alone to have to deal with my problems by myself!

He promised to never leave nor forsake me!
Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

When you trust in Jesus Christ and receive Him as your LORD and Saviour, ALL of His promises to Christians are yours.

Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross, paying for your sins that you could never pay for, that He was buried, but that three days later He arose from the dead, according to the scriptures!  He could do this because He was God on this earth!  He did it for ALL sinners who call upon Him to be saved!

I wouldn't trade my frail life now for all of the "so called FUN" I had 50 years ago because the world was corrupt then, just as now, only WE DON'T RECOGNIZE IT!

Choose Jesus Christ to save you from the horrible future that awaits those on this earth, probably pretty soon!

No Jesus, no life!
Know Jesus, know life everlasting!

The Gospel - Why do I need to get saved?

The Bible presents a clear path to eternal life. First, we must recognize that we have sinned against God: "For all have sinned and fall short of glory of God" (Rom 3:23). We have all done things that are displeasing to God, which makes us deserving of punishment. Since all our sins are ultimately against an eternal God, only an eternal punishment is sufficient. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Rom 6:23).

However, Jesus Christ, the sinless (1 Pet 2:22), eternal Son of God become a man (Joh 1:1,14) and died to pay our penalty. "God demonstrates His love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom 5:8). Jesus Christ died on the cross (Joh 19:31-42), taking the punishment that we deserve (Cor 5:21). Three days later He rose from the dead (1 Cor 15:1-4), proving His victory over sin and death. "In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (2 Pet 1:3).

By faith, we must change our mindset regarding Christ - who He is, What He did, and why - for salvation (Acts 3:19). If we place our faith in Him, trusting His death on the cross to pay for our sins, we will be forgiven and receive the promise of eternal life in heaven. "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life: (Joh 3:16). "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved: (Rom 10:9). Faith alone in the finished work of Christ on the cross is the only true path to eternal life! "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God -not by works, so that no one can boast" (Eph 2:8-9).

If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, here is a sample prayer. Remember, saying this prayer or any other prayer will not save you. It is only trusting in Christ that can save you from sin. This Prayer is simply a way to express to God your faith in Him and thank Him for providing for your salvation. "God, I know that I have sinned against you and deserve punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I place my trust in You for salvation, Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternallife. Amen!

If you have you made a decision for Christ because of what you have read here? If so, please write to us, so that we may know and assist you in faith.

Did you have Hero's when you were a Child?

DID YOU HAVE HEROES WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD? WERE THEY REAL HEROES, SUCH AS FIREMEN, POLICEMEN, OR TEACHERS, OR WERE THE HOLLYWOOD VARIETY (Superman, Batman, or Marvel D.C. Comics' heroes)?

Kids don't know what a real hero is, if they don't know Jesus Christ personally! He has purchased eternal life for everyone who understands that they have sinned (Romans 3:23) and believe the gospel of Jesus' life (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

Recently I've heard of "born-again" Christian kids idolizing Marvel Comics' heroes and the various forms of occultic powers they use for their strength.

First of all, are these kids in question truly saved? Once they were saved was there any discipliship program offered them to train them in the things of the LORD?

If not, win them over to Christ.
Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

God doesn't make promises that He can't keep, or can't be kept!

Teach the children the first two commandments and to fully understand what they mean!
Deuteronomy 5:7-9 "Thou shalt have none other gods before me. 6. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: 7a. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God..."

The first things that we think about when we awaken each day often become our gods! Adults set up their homes, vehicles, family and friends on a pedestal, often placing them before God Almighty.

Children must be taught about being a godly example, starting with the life of Jesus Christ, His constantly giving of himself, His sacrifices including the Great Sacrifice of nailing our sins to His cross. Christ paying for our sins shows us his dedication, faithfulness and trustworthiness. These are just part of Jesus (God's) character! The four gospels provide plenty of material about the life of Jesus.

When new believers realize that Jesus Christ is MORE real (than their fictitious heroes) and that once they are saved He hears their prayers, they can learn to depend on Him.

Also teach your children about wearing their spiritual armour (Ephesians 6) and that the battles of this life are initiated in the spirit world (Ephesians 6:12) "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Don't discount God's abilities to save and change lives, or our abilities in serving Jesus! Part of the problem with our children lies with us in that we fail to train them much past their receiving Jesus as their Saviour.
They need to be taught to follow the LORD Jesus Christ, through our example. We must teach them to never compromise God's ways for the conveniences the world offers!

James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Pray diligently for your children, no matter WHAT their age! Unfortunately, we forget God's power to help us in our times of need and for those needs of others.

Some of us need to go back to the beginning!
Hebrews 5:12 "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."

As Christians we have immediate access to God's throne!
Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

DON'T WASTE TRAINING TIME!

Roman Authorities Investigating Jesus For Violating Stay-In-Tomb Order

JERUSALEM—Roman authorities are investigating controversial religious leader Jesus of Nazareth for violating the Empire's clear "stay in tomb" order. After crucifying him and laying him in the tomb, Roman guards put Him under strict orders to stay there and not come back, rising victorious over sin and death.

But Jesus, answering to a higher authority, refused to stay dead and busted out of the tomb, establishing a kingdom that would never end -- again, in clear violation of the government's orders.

"Jesus is a dangerous rebel, refusing to bend the knee to Caesar and not abiding by the law of sin and death," said one Roman official. "He clearly broke the law by leaving the tomb, and we're going to be issuing a citation and placing him under mandatory quarantine for these crimes."

After coming into contact with many large groups over the course of approximately 40 days, Jesus ascended into heaven and is currently thought to be reigning on high. [1 Cor 15:1-7]

Authorities are also investigating Him for planning to gather with a large multitude of every tribe, tongue, and nation. He says he currently has no plans to obey any earthly king on the matter, pressing ahead with the gathering of those who believe He died and rose again and trust Him alone for their salvation. [Romans 3:24, 1 Thessalonians 4:16]

Why did God create hell? Why will he condumn some people (the majority of us) there? Is there any way out?

WHY DID GOD CREATE HELL?
WHY WILL HE CONDEMN SOME PEOPLE (the majority of us!) THERE?
IS THERE ANY WAY OUT?

God never intended for man to have to go to hell!  That's a decision we consciously make ourselves!  God made hell for the devil and his kind!

Matthew 25:41  "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"

So, if hell was NOT prepared for mankind, why does man go there?

Matthew 7:"13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The fact is...most people think that you need to be very religious to enter into heaven!  Nothing could be farther from the truth!

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;"

Hell is where God isn't!  Think about that for a while.
NO LIGHT, because God IS light! (1 John 1:5 "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.")

No LOVE, because God is love! (1 John 4:8 "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.")

NO HOPE because eternal life is based upon the one hope and way which is ONLY through Jesus Christ!  (1 Peter 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,")

Hell is a place where there is no light, no love, and no hope!  Just that alone would be bad enough.  But it gets WORSE!
You will also be burning in the Lake of Fire!
FOREVER!

Revelation 20: 15  "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

BUT YOUR LIFE DOESN'T HAVE TO END THIS WAY!  OBEY THE GOSPEL!

WHAT'S OBEYING THE GOSPEL?
IT'S BELIEVING THE ACCOUNT ABOUT JESUS CHRIST WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART!

READ ON IF YOU WANT TO BE SAVED!

Mankind CHOOSES hell over heaven when he refuses to believe and rejects the gospel of the Saviour, Jesus Christ, and His gift of life (or salvation!)

SO...is there a way out once I am sent to hell?

NO!

WHY?

Because you rejected the ONE HOPE that you had to be saved, Jesus righteousness given to you the moment that you believe the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), and humbly ask God to save you!

There are NO works that you have to do to obtain glory (Ephesians 2:8-9) and no amount of money that you have to give to gain eternal life!  It's a free gift God gives to everyone who trusts His Son with their lives and completely believing the gospel!

Just simply believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, that He died victorious over sin, death, hell, and the grave.  But the most amazing part of the gospel is you must believe the Bible that He arose from the grave of His own power!

If you believe this gospel account of Jesus' life AND ask Him to save you, He will!

John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

So...what are you waiting for?  Enroll your name into the Book of Life by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour!

AND tomorrow is promised to NO ONE!  James 4:14  "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."

Ask Jesus Christ to save you today!  THIS MATTER CAN'T WAIT!  WHERE YOU SPEND YOUR ETERNITY DEPENDS UPON IT!

AND WHY AM I SO ADAMANT ABOUT THIS TOPIC?

BECAUSE I DON'T WANT YOU TO GO THERE!

Why do we preach so strongly against Hell, the Devil?

WHY DO WE PREACH SO STRONGLY AGAINST HELL, THE DEVIL, BUT SPEAK SO FAVORABLY ABOUT HEAVEN?

1) Because God wants you there!  2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Jesus Christ died that you could have eternal life!
John 3:15-16  "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 6:29  "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."

2) Because we who are witnessing to you WANT you there!
2 John 1:4 "I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
1 John 4:7-8  "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

We Christians are commanded to witness to all the world!
Mark 16:15  "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
We respond to God's commission and follow his commands because we love God and seek to tell those who don't know God that He is love!

Here is the dividing line between believers and unbelievers.
Mark 16:16  "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."  (This echos 1 John 4:8!)

3) Because the angels desire to look into the things of salvation and rejoice when one soul is saved!
1 Peter 1:12 b "...them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into."
Luke 15:10 "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
Luke 15:7 "I say unto you, I that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."

If you desire to know God in a personal way, understand that Jesus Christ died on the cross, paying for your sins.  He was buried, but three days later He arose from the grave according to the scriptures!  This is called, the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Believing this can save you if you desire to be saved.

DO YOU?

If so, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins!  (He died paying the cost for them!)  Ask Jesus to save you and invite Him to come into your life!

HE WILL!

God will rejoice!
The Christians who know you will rejoice!
ALL of the angels in heaven will also rejoice!

Don't delay!
Do it today!

What is meant by "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive"?

1 Corinthians 15:22  "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."

WHAT IS MEANT BY THIS?
(Let's take it part by part!)

"For as in Adam all die..."
We all have one life to live!  Only ONE!  No coming back as a Princess or a King!
Hebrews 9:27  "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

Reincarnation is a trick of the devil that you can have multiple lives to, "Get it right," and eventually get saved!

Galatians 3:24 "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."

Why this life is so important is because IN THIS LIFE we have to choose between Heaven and hell!  One life to make this most important decision!  We learn about Jesus Christ through hearing (or reading articles like this)!
Romans 10:14 "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

We hear (or read) and our faith in God grows!  We learn that God cares about us and wants none of us to die without knowing Jesus personally!
2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

The more of an interest that we show toward God, the more of Himself He reveals to us!
Romans 1:19  "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them."
(We ALREADY have the ability to know God as proof through that last verse!)

Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

We must believe that God is real, that He is a rewarder of those who seek after Him!

Once we are saved, we are no longer under the bondage of the law.  Galatians 3:25 "But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster."

It's faith in Jesus Christ that saves us and places us under a new law, the law of, "Grace"!
Simply restated Grace means:
"God's Riches At Christ's Expense"!

Without Christ's righteousness, our soul is eternally dead!
Ezekiel 18:4 "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."
These Christ rejectors will suffer an eternity by burning in darkness!  NO ESCAPE!  FOREVER!

Now the rest of the verse...
"...even so in Christ shall all be made alive."

When we believe the gospel of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) we are granted salvation from our sins (wrongs committed against God)!

Once we receive Jesus Christ as our friend, LORD, and Saviour, we are placed into God's universal church!  Christ's righteousness is applied to our soul.  We become permanently the children of God!  (He knows ALL THINGS anyway!)
Romans 8:16 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:"

Galatians 3:26 "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
It's placing our faith completely in Jesus Christ that saves us!

When you are saved by believing the gospel, you are forever saved.
Briefly, the gospel is as follows!
Jesus Christ lived a perfect sinless life!  He died on the cross paying for our sins (as He was SINLESS, He was able to do this for us all)!  Three days later He arose from the grave according to the scriptures!  This proved that He WAS God!

When you believe this gospel about Jesus Christ and ask Him to forgive your sins and save you, He will!

To the unknown God

TO THE UNKNOWN GOD!
by The Apostle Paul

Most hope for a dream they will never see.
Perhaps they would consult you or me!

We'll tell them all salvation's plan.
God's design for woman and man!
But "Too busy, we are!" they often say.
"Perhaps you may come another day!"

"To an unknown God," Paul rightly said!
"You've loads of gods!
All of them dead!
My God's alive forevermore!
But you buy yours in the general store!
My Jesus lives within the soul
of everyone who seeks to be whole.
Believe He died
and rose on day three.
He gave his life for you and me!  He left his Glory up above
to teach us all through his great love!

Paul's few words were passed on by...
"For worldly vanities
they cry!
Lust of the eyes, the flesh and pride
Keep us daily satisfied!"

Little they listen to God's tender voice.
He pleads, If only they make me their choice!

Turn from your idols,
who can't hear or see.
I know you all,
and can set you free!

IF ONLY THEY WOULD HEAR AND THEN CHOOSE ME!

Acts 17:16-34

Betray one another

MANY ARE WONDERING ABOUT THE DAYS IN WHICH WE ARE LIVING...IF NEIGHBORS REPORTING NEIGHBORS AND FAMILY MEMBERS TELLING THE GOVERNMENT ABOUT "Law Breakers," IS TOLD ABOUT IN THE BIBLE.

YES, IT IS.

These following scriptures are now being fulfilled before our eyes!  The obvious one is the rapture.  It's going to happen in the time before the catching away of the church!  But this next set of verses hasn't happened yet!

Matthew 24:40-44  "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."

This scripture timing is similar to the following verses speaking of divided families and neighborhoods!  Here in these days there is very little sense of community!

Isaiah 3:5  "And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable."
I believe that the ancient refers to God Almighty!  Few have respect today of God who will judge the earth with fire and brimstone in the final days!

Companion verses regarding end day divisions are here:
Luke 12:51-53  "Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52. For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law."

Jesus purpose upon our planet was to show us that we couldn't keep the law.  That makes everyone a sinner, because ONLY Jesus Christ was able to keep the law!  He lived a perfect life!
Then he died on the cross IN OUR PLACE, paying for our sins...all of them!  Then on the third day He arose from the grave according to the scriptures showing that He WAS God!
These scriptures also show us the end days in which we live....when the government encourages you to report those who are not following their rules.  (This is just how it went in Nazi Germany!)

That's the reason why He came...were sinners in need of a Saviour!
Jesus rose Himself from the dead, we too can be resurrected as he was if we believe this gospel account of Jesus.  The gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.  Believing this, admitting to God that you're a sinner (we ALL are!) and asking Jesus to save you will save your soul from an eternity of burning in darkness!  You will be able to enjoy the joy of eternity in heaven with God!

Trust your soul to Jesus Christ today!

We're in the throes of the last days of the church before Jesus removes those of us who are saved!

Tomorrow is promised to no one!

DO YOU DESIRE SOMETHING? IS IT SOMETHING THAT BY GOD'S STANDARDS IS "FORBIDDEN"? COULD IT BE YOUR DREAM FOR FAME, SOMETHING THAT IS BEAUTIFUL, OR FOR MONEY?

DO YOU DESIRE SOMETHING? IS IT SOMETHING THAT BY GOD'S STANDARDS IS "FORBIDDEN"?

COULD IT BE YOUR DREAM FOR FAME, SOMETHING THAT IS BEAUTIFUL, OR FOR MONEY?

LET'S SEE WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS ABOUT THESE THINGS!

1 John 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

What IS the will of God?

James 4:7-8 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."

"Submitting yourself to God," means that your desires will match up with what God's desires for you, and not what the world pounds into our heads!
Breaking ANY of God's commands means that for what you wish is not in your best interests!
James 4:3 "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."

ALL of the allurements this world offers us are vain!
Job 15:31 "Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence."
Ecclesiastes 12:8 "Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity."

Emptiness is the final result for trusting in meaningless things according to God's standards!

When the devil tempted Jesus with questions after Jesus fasted forty days and forty nights, how did God answer Satan?

"It is written..." was how!

Matthew 4:4 "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
Matthew 4:7 "Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."
Matthew 4:10 "Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

The devil offered Jesus things that were his, as Satan is the god of this world!

Notice that Jesus answered each question with scripture! Question #1 dealt with food! (Remember, Jesus was hungry after fasting for 40 days!)
Question #2 dealt with temptations. (These are often things that we shouldn't have!)
Question #3 has to do with our worship!

Jesus summed up the devil's questions with this statement, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

There is only ONE true Eternal God who is also the Saviour!

Hosea 13:4 "Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me."
1 Timothy 1:1 "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;"
1 Timothy 4:10 "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe."

In WHOM do you place your trust? If you trust in any other than Jesus Christ, your hope is in vain! Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world!

Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
2 Corinthians 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
1 John 5:4 "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

To overcome the allurements of this world, we must place our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him ALONE!
Do you trust God with your eternal soul?
Are you saved from the judgements to come?

Acts 16:30-31 "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

When you realize that you're a sinner who is in need of the Saviour, you're on the right track!

Believe the gospel, that Jesus Christ died on the cross paying for your sins, that He was buried, but three days later He arose from the grave according to the scriptures! Believing this is what saves your soul forever!

John 3:15-16 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Matthew 5:30 "And if thy right hand offend thee, cut if off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell."

Hell is a VERY REAL PLACE! Why else would God talk so much about it if it wasn't REAL?

Ask Jesus (who already PAID the cost for your sins) wants to be your Saviour and draw you away from the allurements this world offers! Those things will perish, but the life Jesus offers will last forever!

Choose life! Choose Jesus!

Know Christ, know life!
No Christ, no life!

Choose Jesus! Choose Life!
