"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death."
Revelation 2:11
Since Jesus has transformed Death from a dreary cavern into a passage leading to glory, we would await for it without fear.
At the very moment we place our faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, we were considered one (Sons & Daughters) among His Children. Ours names were written in the Book of Life with permanent marker & We will be sealed with the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption.
Some things, like inverse of this same verse Seems to prove like there is no such a thing like eternal security or once saved always saved. But you have to note onething. We are not supposed to alter the Bible. Especially, I personally have much fear to rightly handle this Book of Revelation. (Rev 22:18,19). Actually Rev 2:11 speaks about the unchanging blessing of second life which is Heaven awaits for the overcomes. St Paul in his letter to Romans writes, "...we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." (Rom 8:37) And there will be no condemnation for us as we were in Christ. (Rom 8:1) The unchanging blessing of Rev 2:11 awaits for all the believers (or) overcomes. (1 John 5:4,5) Jesus Christ Himself said "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37) Rest in the promise of God. Don't be carried away by every wind of doctrine by human cunning and by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
