The Reality of Your Eternal Portion by J.C. Ryle

Resurrection and judgment await you. All is not over when the last breath is drawn and your body becomes a lump of cold clay. No: all is not over!

The realities of existence then begin. The shadows will have passed away for ever. The trumpet shall one day sound, and call you forth from your narrow bed; the graves shall be rent asunder, and their tenants shall be summoned forth to meet God; the ears that would not obey the church going bell shall be obliged to obey that summons; the proud wills that would not submit to listen to sermons shall be compelled to listen to the judgment of God. The great white throne shall be set: the books shall be opened. Every man, woman and child, shall be arraigned at that great court appearance. Every one shall be judged according to his works. The sins of every one shall be answered for. And every one shall receive his eternal portion either in heaven or in hell!

WHAT ABOUT THESE END DAYS AND THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM OF THE WORLD?

Revelation 6:6  "And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine."

WHAT ABOUT THESE END DAYS AND THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM OF THE WORLD?  This verse speaks about THESE end days, as chronologically, God withdraws His church from the earth in Revelation 4:1.  His church is comprised of those who personally know Jesus!  This event is soon going to happen!

READ ON!

The final days of earth will be widespread famine and starvation due to those who operate the money markets of the world!  They will continue to get greedier and greedier for riches!
1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

Let's get back to that first verse!
It would seem that a penny for a day's rations of food shouldn't be so bad!

But back in Bible days a whole day's WAGE was a penny!  That's quite a different perspective!

TWO of the last days signs of the end is a world wide economic collapse and famine.
Our country is helping accelerate this issue due to the greed of some and the poverty of many!

For many years the United States' economy has been the, "gold standard," for world economic balance!  That position has been rapidly declining since January 2021.

I'm NOT a conspiracy theorist!

I'm a realist.  I know that we're living in a very scary time in our lives where so many issues are in question!

But the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION OF ALL FOR YOU IS DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR ETERNITY WILL BE SPENT?

I do by the promises given to us from the Bible.  I'm NOT being arrogant, but honest!

Acts 16:30-31  "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

So WHAT does believing, "on the Lord Jesus Christ," entail?

When you recognize that you're a sinner incapable of saving yourself, that Jesus Christ died on the cross in payment for all of your sins, that He was  buried, but three days later He arose from the dead BECAUSE HE WAS GOD IN THE FLESH UPON THIS EARTH, you pass from eternal death unto life.

When you receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour, Jesus applies HIS righteousness to your everlasting soul, and when God the Father, sees you from heaven He considers as "innocent" of your sins as Jesus is by Jesus cross work!

I plead with you!

Please receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour before it's too late!

Do it TODAY!

How Should We React to the Signs of the Times?

How Should We React to the Signs of the Times?

The signs of the end times are everywhere, and the strange thing is that believers often react to them the very opposite of how God intends for us to react.

As we witness such things as the spread of globalism, the building of a one-world church, the increase of wickedness, the breakdown of the traditional family, the destruction of that priceless bastion of liberty called America, the normalization of homosexuality, the callous murder of babies, the filthy pop culture, the breathtaking increase in governmental surveillance, we become fearful, uncertain, frustrated, angry, and discouraged, but this is because our minds and hearts are too focused on things of this world rather than things above. Too often we have the same short view that “conservative” unbelievers have rather than the long view that comes from the light of Bible prophecy.

Doubtless there will be frustration and discouragement, because we aren’t spiritual robots who are unaffected by our environment, but our response should be tempered by the truths of God’s Word. We should respond to the times in a dramatically different way than our unsaved friends and neighbors.

When we consider what is happening in the world, we
should respond in at least the following ways:

First, we should rejoice greatly in our salvation.
“But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy” (1 Pet. 4:13).

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Cor. 4:17-18).

No matter what we suffer in this present world, it is but for a moment in light of eternity with Christ. Every day we should walk in the joy of the gift of blinded eyes opened and salvation bestowed through Christ’s great Sacrifice.

Second, we should be comforted that Christ’s return is drawing near. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Lk. 21:28).

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words:” (1 Th. 4:15-18).

Each day brings us closer to the Rapture of the New Testament saints, and in this light, the signs of the times, though they are grievous for this present life, should be a cause of rejoicing for the believer.

Third, we should be encouraged that God is in control.
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way” (2 Th. 2:7).
